I'm building a web site which uses the acccount module in all the skins. Each corner of a skin has a account login. It is really annoying that we have to add the account module manually to the page. Can I use the account module as a skinobject?

I made a copy of the singin.ascx & signin.ascx.vb and moved these files to the admin/skins directory. Then I defined a new skinobject called accountlogin in the skin object section in the admin - module page.

I applied the [accountlogin] to all my skins, but unfortunately it doesn't work. How can I solve this problem?

Samet,
It is very simple to achieve this.  In the module settings there is a section called Advanced Settings here you will find an option to Display Module On All Pages "Select whether the module should appear in the same location on all pages of the site".

You would add the Account Module to your first page and then change this setting.

I hope this helps

Thanks for your solution. I did know I could use this option. But I'd rather use it as a skinobject so i can manipulate it from the skins. If I want to delete the module, i need to delete it manually from all the tabs. Anyway thanks

I've found a few quirks with the "apply to all pages" option, but still use it quite a bit.

Basically, if you use that option, you will immediately get a duplicate of that module on all pages, using the same formatting (skin, etc.) as the original.  If you go to each page, you can modify each one to look different and it won't affect the rest.  You can even delete it from a few pages and it won't reappear.  However, if you delete it from all of your pages manually, but fail to remove that check mark before you do so, all new pages will have that on also.  If you aren't expecting it, that is are really aggrevating feature!   You are right though, they won't disappear automatically from all pages by unchecking that box.

The other option you could do is to use the LOGIN tag, that will allow you to move it anywhere on the page, via skin.  You could substitute a graphic for that prompt.

Yes I agree with this. I'm sure I can fix this.
