Caroig -

I'm also seeing this error - I can't add new posts. I added an item in Gemini but it seems like there was one already.

So, frustrating as it is, we'll just have to wait till the forums have been patched.

I sent a myraid of emails to the webmaster of the mothership, as did a number of others...created new accounts to post the problems and get the attention of the mods...whined a little bit...and after about 4-5 weeks, I was finally able to post again, though it was too late...really lost interest in these "new" forums and the numerous errors and problems we all have with them.

I try to cling on to hope that one weekend, I'll log in as I did this morning and be able to read a few posts while drinking coffee and not receive a handful of errors, but that day still looks far off.

Today's error de jour seems to be:

A critical error has occurred.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

Perhaps we could all chip in and get a bronze of silver support package from the DNN Corp and get these problems addressed?

I get the same errors. It's pretty crappy customer service and bad advertising and worse public relations that the DNN staff apparently can't be bothered to fix their forums.

I've been having these problems for 2 weeks now and based on my experiences with DNN's excessive complexity, particularly in skinning, I will use DNN for the one project that I have to use it for, but I can't really recommend it too highly yet.

Another error I get is that the some forums won't even show me the threads so I can read them....

I never get any notifications any more, also the moderation system makes things soooooo slow that I go to other boards now for DNN answers.

...not to mention the moderation system is quite weak. I had 80 individual forums when I installed these new forums; you have to go into each and every one to set the permissions, which lasted for about 30-40 forums, then, given the other problems with the ranks and lists and emails and errors and flashing icons and clunkiness, I uninstalled these forums and went to ActiveForums, never looking back.  At least they got it right and allow you to set the permissions for a group and apply to each and every forum in that group...godsend. The difference is like night and day.

And like you, I too, sought help in other forums...each and every one was running AF, which speaks volumes in and of itself.
