Hello all,

I'm using Abyss Web Server for hosting my DotNetNuke portal. My Web server is running Apache. So I use the ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse function to run DotNetNuke on Apache.

My problem is: how making DotNetNuke to use the dynamic link provided in the Url rather than the link used by Abyss ?

Detail: I call my portal with http://www.mydomain.com.

All incoming connection are transfered by Apache to http://192.168.0.1:8000 (the Abyss Url).

DotnetNuke works fine and the home page is displayed. The login page works, but all other links are created with http://192.168.0.1:8000 and not with http://www.mydomain.com !

How enforce DotNetnuke to use the http://www.mydomain.com Url ?

Thanks

I assume you installed your DNN locally for testing?  What you need to do is go to your server 192.168.0.1 and then log into DNN, go to the Admin section->Host Settings and add the aliase www.mydomain.com.

That is what worked for me.  Cheers

Thanks for your reply (I didn't received any notification...).

What do you mean by "installed locally" ? 192.168.0.1 is my private IP...

I've already added the alias so DNN works fine on the first page with a call to http://www.mydomain.com/dnn.

I need to correct the dynamics links generated by DNN for accessing all pages (like mod_proxy_html, but this doesn't work). Auto correct all http://192.168.0.1:8000/dnn/... links to http://www.mydomain.com/dnn/....

Thanks

This isn't possible in DNN, it's a result of your proxy.  You are proxying www.domain.com to 192.168.0.1:8000, and this is what DNN sees itself.  I'm not sure you actually can change this, but I don't know enough about Apache proxies to say for sure.

Jeff
