I have a page that displays specific information based on a page parameter.  This page is displayed within an IFrame module like this:

http://Myweb/portal/MyApp/tabid/240/Default.aspx?ClosedDate=12/12/2007

As I move around the site, I noticed that the url displayed in the browser is ALWAYS my ".../Default.aspx" url.  I realize that this is probably normal/expected behaviour, but I thought I would mention it.  I can create a hyperlink within the site that will redirect to the above URL and it works: the page consumes the passed "ClosedDate" parameter and displays the correct information.

However, if I include the above link in an e-mail (which is my end goal), it always just goes to the ".../Default.aspx" page (with no parameter).  Even if I manually add this parameter in the URL address, it still just shows the information (without the parameter).

Is there some way to make my above scenario work?  I have very little experience interacting with modules via code, so I would appreciate any sample code (if it is necessary).

Thank you!

Just to answer my own question (in case this helped someone else)...

Under the "Edit IFrame Options" for the module, I added a new QueryString Parameter.  I entered "ClosedDate" as the "Name" & "Value" and it worked perfectly.   The only trick is that you need to make sure that your [page] code handles the situation where the parameter is empty, not not nothing - like "".
