I have dnn site url at www.domain1.com/dnn and how can I move it to www.domain1.com ? I tried to point the domain to that folder and change the httpalias to www.domain1.com , but now it becomes an endless loop of redirecting to itself. Does anyone know how to configure it?

Thanks,
Henry

Did you change the httpalias from SQL Server directly? if yes, then try to restart the IIS service, because the value will be cached untill you restart.

Hi henry,

You need to move files to root directory of your hosting account and change alias of your portal to www.yourdomainname.com.

If loop continues you may check permissions and cache issues.

As mentioned above you will need to move the files to the root.  If once you get it moved and setup you have links that no longer work in your text/html module due to the links having the foldername in them, you might have a look at my DNN Text/HTML Replacement Tool available at http://www.mitchelsellers.com as this is a common issue after doing this type of migration.
