I am having an issue with the Active Directory module.  We are using windows authentication and are unable to authenticate certain users.  I am a host (user level) on the instance and am able to successfully log in, but when I attempt to log in with a regular user's account, the page gets stuck in a continual loop.  We have run a packet sniffer on our local dc and it shows us that it is communicating with the DC but not performing the LDAP lookup.  When I run it as a DNN host account I see the communication take place, along with the LDAP traffic.  We have tried many different configurations within IIS - all producing the same results.  We have also tried altering the "non-host" dnn account (regular user) by elevating their permissions to a domain admin, etc.  Still no luck.  We will be happy to provide the results of our traces...any thoughts?

I am having similar problems with our Intranet. Most users are authenticated ok but some users get a redirection back to the same page in a continuous loop and can never connect.

We have  a similar problem : in a new 4.7 installation  ( windows server 2003, IIS6 ) everything seems to be ok but :

when a user select the web site the first time immediatly appear the right  account  ( with name and surname ) on the top-right side ( wow !!!! ) ;

if the user logout and  select the web site again the account disappear (????) and appear the register- login menu . In this case there are no way to login again with the correct domain user and password. !!!

To login again with the AD account the user must logout the windows session and login again ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks in advance , Andrea

We actually tried that yesterday afternoon and thought it resolved the issue, but it did not.  We changed the web.config back to use Windows authentication and it worked for a short while, but we then began to see a lot of these errors in the application log:
