Report module hase Supported Features in module definition Searchable and Portable

I want to change this. I wan this module to be only Portable.

Can i change this in database in table DesktopModules in column Supported Features???

What number I need to put there? If I put 0 this module would lose both features.

This cannot be changed, the checkboxes are only there to inform you that the features are supported by the module. Changing the DesktopModules table could seriously damage your DotNetNuke installation if you are not very careful.

If you are concerned about security, you should know that all the search items created by a module have the same security as the module itself. So if the module is only visible to administrators, only administrators will see search items from that module during a search.

I changed it to 0 and DNN works fine.

For me there is no problem that someone else sees the result.

My report contains about 5000 records each. I have 3 reports, and Search Engine index all this records in database.

So I have 15000 more record in Search Word table and this is the problem. Thats a lot of useless data

I executed sql query :

update dnn1_DesktopModules set SupportedFeatures=1 where FriendlyName='Reports

and now Reports Module is only portable :)

You have a very good point, regarding the Search Indexer adding unnecessary data, I had not considered that. I will investigate the issue and see if I can provide a cleaner way to fix this (i.e. without having to hack the database ).

I've logged this as a feature request in the bug tracker, so if you want to track the progress of this item you can find it as Issue RPT-6906
