I did a test and can't even getting it to work in FF (an ID with a period in it), I'll discuss this in the team.

It seems like a valid change to not use periods in ID's, W3C can allow it but if it doesn't work it seems useless.

Thanks for posting this.

btw, IMO you should download the Firebug extension for FF, you won't use the webdev toolbar for IE anymore, believe me... (well at least a lot less)

(you must do a custom FF install and select all options, to get the extension to work)

I have the skin done and am now working on containers.  The initial 3-column skin uses pure CSS and is fluid.  I have additional layouts coming.  This isn't a "skin" in the sense of selling it but was built specifically for this client from artwork he contracted.  However it is a template I offer to anyone wanting to explore pure CSS on DNN.  Anyone who would like the source can contact me directly.  At least now I know that it is architecturally possible to do this.  It works in IE, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari and Opera rending within a few pixles for each browser.  It uses the NAV, Breadcrumb, and Search tokens with content areas (not active except for the center and that currently has a stub with the real content pane under) for Left, Right and Center with Header and Footer.  There is almost no markup in the page itself except for a few &nbsp spaces that are required for some of the browser implementations.

I appreciate any feedback.  I wonder what containers have in store for me.  The saga continues...
