I need to create some custom portal/user registration fields.  I then need to be able to output the values of those fields in different areas of the portal skin and portal content (using the HTMl/Text module).  Is that possible?  Is there a way to access the portal values and output those in the skin and in content?

Tanks!

This is possible assuming you're using the latest Text/HTML module, that supports the use of Tokens, if you have a custom field called MasterCustomID you would reference it using

[Profile:MasterCustomerID]

Thanks for the quick reply.  I am using the 4.7 for the portal.  One othe question along those lines; what if I need a portal level variable that is not a user profile custom field?  I basically need to add some additional fields when the portal is created and will need to output those.  Is adding fields at the portal level even possible?

Thanks!

There isn't a defined way to add extra portal information that I know of. One possible solution would be to store key/value pairs in the HostSettings table, though that will require quite a bit of customization. Pulling those values in with tokens would also probably require modifications to the Text/HTML module.

Thanks again.  Can I output existing portal values in the skin and the text/html module?
