First, i had like to wish you merry christmas to all  the dotnetnuke community :)

I need a lot of help

I have a problem when trying to debug any dotnetnuke module sources that i have installed.

My procedure is:

1. I copy the source project and ascx.vb´s files into my desktopmodules directory. (In this case Links)

2. I open the project in my solution and next,

when i run my  application i got following error:

---------

The Following module was built either with optimizations enabled or without debug information:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v.2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\dotnetnuke\dbdd9bbe\5056d4be\
assembly\dl3\242bc793\92d2ecfb_4c3ec801\DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.DLL

To debug this module, change its project build configuration to Debug Mode. To supress this message, disable the
'Warn if no user code on launch' debugger option

------

I know it´s because this message that i can´t debug my module sources??

What am i doing wrong?

I really apreciate your help if you could give me,

thanks all,

Ricardo Moura.

If you are not using a Web Application Program setup and just using the starter kit here is what you need to do.

First make sure that in the web.config file "compilation debug="true" strict="false">

<

Also make sure that in Tools>Options>Debugging>General that 'Require source files to match original files' is not checked.

Next add your breakpoints to your code where you want them.

Build the program without debugging (Shift F5)

Once your site has loaded go to Tools>Attach to process.  Select the Aspnet_wp.exe one, it should be the first one, and click on Attach.

Once you do this Visual Studio will stop at your breakpoints when you go through your site.

If your breakpoints show up 'hollow', try the process again. You should see Loading symbols.. in the status bar of VS.

I hope this helps.
