Hi, we're in the process of upgrading to a higher level service from our hoster. They've copied our site to a temp domain for testing, and a grey bar appears at the bottom of the browser window on the temp site and not the current site.

http://www.valintus.com/dnnprod/ (current site)

http://svc231.wic012v.server-web.com/dnnprod/ (temp site - has grey bar at bottom)

The hoster says they can't see the grey bar. I've tried it on several PCs and see it on all.

Firstly, can people tell me if they see it or not (and if not what your config is). Secondly, for those that see it, any idea what is causing it and how to get rid of it?

Jeff, I can confirm the ssue, the gray area in the bottom.

I can confirm the gray bar at the bottom, using IE7.

Hi Jeff,

I viewed both pages with my Expression Web.

The problem is in this line at the bottom of the HTML Code.

<input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" id="__VIEWSTATE" value= the orginal web the above code has the /> </form> tags,

the new web is missing the ending tags closing the form statement. This is usally cause by a line being to long.

Enjoy

Ray

Many thanks for checking this out Ray. However, when I view page source in IE and FF the tags look to be intact in both cases. Also, as I'm not generating this HTML, and DNN is, I'm at a loss as to how to fix it. I'm concerned that the grey bar will stay when the site is transfered - perhaps it won't?
