It is possible that you have issues with a scheduler task or something else.  I know a few others have reported similar issues and noted that after about 24 hours they go away.

You could try to restart the application to see if it gets any better.

thanks Mitch for your advice. the error has not gone away. high CPU usage is still a problem and since i configured the App Pool for fault tolerance, the application keeps restarting. any other thing that i should investigate?

cheers

Abhishek

Hi,

I've same problem on a windows 2003 web edition, all other web apps in the same machine are working fine, not the dnn one. Please note that this was not happening before upgrade with same modules/contents, and cpu goes at 100% after some hours.

I have the same problem after upgrading to 4.0.8. The scheduler has a problem, as the message in the eventlog shows:

Message: System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Der Thread wurde abgebrochen. bei System.Threading.Thread.SleepInternal(Int32 millisecondsTimeout) bei DotNetNuke.Services.Scheduling.DNNScheduling.Scheduler.CoreScheduler.Start()

The task manager shows cpu loads of 100% all few seconds in absolutely regular intervals, caused by the w3wp.exe. When I deactivate the scheduler, all is OK. But I have two DNN installations, both upgraded to 4.0.8 at the same time, and the 2. installation runs with the scheduler activated without these problems. My 1. DNN installatoion was some time ago upgraded from an old 3.x version, my 2. was a fresh install from a 4.x.
