I'm really, really dissapointed with the latest release (4.8.0).

  • OpenID authentication not working (when login page is specified) - not fixed since version 4.6.0.
  • File permissions are resetting by themselfes - not fixed since version 4.7.0.

And now it turnes out I can not create new sites (neigther parent, nor child), gives some cryptic error about user profile:

"The 'userregistration' element is invalid - The value '-1' is invalid according to its datatype 'userRegistrationEnum' - The Enumeration constraint failed."

Didn't you guys bother to check even the most basic functionality (again)?

Half an hour later finally managed to create new site using "DotNetNuke" template. Guess the reason was that all the other templates in the package (and also those that were just created by me from completely functional 5-pages site) are somehow incorrect.

LiveID and OpenID are separate projects, that may be updates individually.

Can you please state the number of the file permission issue?

I haven't encountered the 3rd issue.

If by "number" you mean Gemini issue number then here it is:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=6709&PROJID=2

It's not directly about file permissions, but it's connected: first all the files and folders disappear from the file manager, and when they reappear all the permissions are reset to "Admin only" (site logo stops showing, you loose ability to select skins and containers and so on). Some of the folders do not reappear no matter how many times you try to sync (shelduler file sync is enabled too).

Here's the link to the original forum thread. And another similar thead (you've already seen it).

The issue is marked as checked-in for 4.8.0 for some reason, yet in reality the bug is not fixed.

As for the 3rd issue - did you try to create new site using the template other than "DotNetNuke"? It might be the problem of my particular install (though I doubt it).

I will check out this liks, thank you.

Regarding #3. please note, that the only provided template is DotNetNuke, other previously delivered templates are outdated, but you can create your own ones using the create template option in Host >> Portals.
