Can anyone help me understand why my site log is cleared down roughly every two days? The Site Log is set to 90 days using Database Storage and the PurgeSiteLog schedule process is disabled. The SQL table is called SiteLog and you can see that records are being deleted on a batch basis.  This is really annoying as I'm losing my activity history. I'm on DNN 04.05.05.  Thanks...

Do you have any T_SQL scripts that might be truncating that table?  Perhaps a 3rd party module that does?

I'd suggest you also check with your ISP - i know a few ISP's have automated tasks to truncate the sitelog table periodically as it's typically one of the largest tables in dnn installs.

Thanks for this suggestion - yes my DNN specialist hosting company clears down the site log.  They can disable the script but warn me that this will drastically slow the site down.  I don't doubt the advice but technically I find it puzzling as they are not disabling logging as such, just the size of the table.

They are right.  If you do not clear out the site log from time to time, your site will indeed begin to slow down over time.  However, there is a scheduler item that can be enabled from the host menu that is supposed to clear that log for you.
