So, like most of you, I want my website to be Google friendly.  Once I got away from GoDaddy's redirect, multi-hosting issues and moved to Webhosting4life most of my Google issues disappeared.  However, there is one that remains and seems to be taking me forever to clear-up.

It's related to pages using the DNN Links module.  HTML/Text links are followed without any issues.  Just for kicks, I decided to run a link heavy page on my site through the Poodle Predictor.  While I thought I was being a good webmaster by "tracking" clicks to update information based on visitors needs, the "tracking" option in the DNN Links module is preventing Google from seeing this information.  So, I'll be manually updating all of those links to remove the option....  unless someone has a bright suggestion on a better way to correct the problem.

Hmm - I had not realised that this rendered the link differently if you turned tracking off - as a developer, I would imagine that this is because you need to postback, record the click and then redirect.

It would be nice to render the links as SEO friendly AND record the click. What does eveyone think about SEO friendly Links?

Please report this in our Gemini bug tracking system, http://support.dotnetnuke.com. We will look into this and see how easily it can be fixed. If it is not too much of an issue, we will try to get into this upcoming release.

Sorry for the delay...  I stumbled across this message while searching for another one of my posts.

I tried to report the issue as you requested, but as I'm not a programmer and unfamiliar with the system, I don't know how to post a new bug/etc.

However, upon additional reflection, I think this issue is directly is similar to the "friendly urls" issue which was tackled earlier in the development of DNN.  As I no longer use the link module (sorry), it is no longer a personal issue, but remains a problem for others.
