I did the upgrade in one step (on my localhost devel environment and a hosted test environment), and have noticed a couple of things:
1. Despite Check for Upgrades being ticked on the Host Settings page (for both installations), the Module Definitions page does not show updates that I know are available on the localhost, but they do on the hosted one. Is there a new setting somewhere to switch this on?
2. I had previously installed FCK (ie. with or before 4.4.1 - can't recall) and carefully changed the web.config (well I think I did) to the correct new settings for the upgrade (I used release.config as the base). However, it looks like both the sites are still using 3.3 of Text/HTML (the hosted site is showing that 4.5.0 is available). Should I find, download and install 4.5 of the Text/HTML module? Or perhaps it should be uninstalled? Although I just noticed that the curly blue brackets are displayed in the editors' toolbars (like above, i.e. on the DNN site), which suggests there has been an upgrade. Very confusing,
This may be simply about the Module Definitions page not being correctly updated for some reason. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help. I'd like to get these things fixed before upgrading my production hosted installation.
