Hi
I tried to install any of the new versions as a clean install (ver 4.7 and ver 4.8) and I get :

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See D:\wwwroot\Objet_Intranet\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See D:wwwrootObjet_Intran" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

I use a new DB and not upgrading, and tried it both on SQL 2005 and SQL 2000. The collation of the DB is Hebrew.
I am using the wizard to install, and tried both Typical and the other options.
I have installed DNN many times in the past with no issues.

Any idea why this happens ?

Thanks

Is the "failure code" the error that is in your installation log?  If not, what is the error in your installation log?

I have a feeling that this may have something to do with your collation, but I am not sure.  It would be helpful to know what line caused the error in the installation DB script (if you know it).

Sorry, one way that might help you get the offending SQL statement is to use the SQL Server Profiler when performing the install next time.

Also are you using an object qualifier?

I got the same error on one of my SQL servers. The same install from the same WEB server worked on another SQL server

Working SQL - MS SQL2005 sp2, all partches, 64Bit

Not working SQL - MS SQL 2005 sp2, all patches, 32bit, MULTIPLE SQL instances (this is what I think is causing the problem)

I tried all DNN all the way to 4.0 and the install failed every time

If I copy the DB from the working SQL to the NOT working SQL the DNN will work fine
