Am I able to post the actual web address without getting deleted?  I don't want to break the rules here.

      Thanks,,,

I think there's absolutely no problem with posting the web address here. In fact, a live demo is the best way to handle skins' issues.

Most skins (especially commercial ones) specify their own background to match the entire look and feel. If you want to use your background image, you should use simple skins; the skins that are being sold do not allow much customization because they are already complete designs.

On the websites that I've been working with, I've tried the commercial skins as well as the freebie downloadables, all gave the same problem as you have described. The DNN Blue (Or Gray) skin that comes preset in the DNN program is what I've gone back to. At least it will allow me to upload a logo image. The web address is as follows; http://www.nashvilleskydiving.org  It's not really that great looking yet, but if I can get the background to work like I want it, The site will look better. I am also working towards coming up with a better layout and pictures for the site, so that should give it a better appearance. I also have other Brighter background images to use if the Sunset one does not look good once Is see it in place.

          Thanks, Jeff...

Ok, on http://www.nashvilleskydiving.org , I see that the background is being set in "body" part. Check your skin and remove the background attribute in <body>. The background seems to be hardcoded into the skin; it's not applied by css styles. Once you remove that, the bg image will disappear and you can upload your own bg.

Well you want the background posistion to be fixed, thats no rocket science and you can do this just with pure css body { background-image: url(someimage.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }

I am not sure if you looked at the site before or after I was able to get the BG image to show, but I actually went in to one of the other skin packages and re-set the BG colors to transparent. Then switched back over to that skin package and it seemed to do what I wanted. I now need to go back in and set the repeat to No-repeat, and I think that will be resolved. I will be changing the text colors and rearranging the pics (and different pics) to give a better appearance and feel. I also accidentally cancelled the color for the menu buttons, but I'll fix that. I also figured out that even though I was editing the CSS and saving it as I made changes, The reason the changes were not working is that I was saving the changes but not copy and pasting the new file to the FTP. Once I did that and deleted the old file, everything seemed to start working.

  Thanks for your help, Jeff...
