Hello!

I need a small module created and I have $75 to spend on it.  It is a very simple module and sorta to help me learn how to do DNN programming w/VB.net.  The module is pretty basic and just requires a couple of data entry points, stores the info, then retrieves it from the DB.

Could anybody help me with this?  If so, can you plz email me:  timgt (AT) hotmail (DOT) com.  I can pay $75 via paypal.

Thx!

I know how you got your alias now.  :)  I can here your Father in the back ground going Tim timtimtimtim and shaking his head.  :)

Now I don't want to take any money out of anybodies pocket but I just couldn't let this pass unsaid.  It would be much better and you would learn more and spend less if you took that $75 to amazon and bought two books.  I'm partial to Wrox and Oreilly but I would recommend Professional ASP .Net if you know a little VB .Net or Beginning if you don't and then the Professional DotNetNuke Portals.  They are great books and you will want them anyway as a reference.

When you get stuck with something us guys that don't have anything better to do than post in the forums are here waiting to help with DNN, SQL, ASP and all the other stuff.  For examples there is all sorts of source code you can download.

Heh.. actually I registered a bunch of usernames, however, I forgot the password and was too lazy to PW recover so now I'm Tim x 4.

I'm a speed demon when it comes to learning.  What I really want is a basic module created, that will serve some actual function, however, it will greatly allow me to step in and get my feet wet ASAP.  BTW - I have more VB.NET/ASP.NET/O`Reily books than an african tribe can shake a stick at :p

So... are you up for it?  I know it is only $75... but... think of the children!

What if there are not enough hours in the day?  What if I'm not a code monkey and I'm just looking for a module that I cannot find elsewhere?

I only ask because I'm more of a designer (if that!) and I'm looking for an alternative to phpNuke and its forks.  Is DNN only for those who can deal with its gears??  Personally I'd rather spend my $75 on wings and football.  :)

check out the seabury design training videos.  If you follow these closely then you will learn to create functional modules.  They are for version 3
