Hi I'm evaluating open source options for source control for a new site soon to be launching on DNN and wondered what you currently use?

any good experiences and bad would help my decision - i've only used paid for applications before like Sourcegear's Vault, which was excellent

I use Subversion both at my "day" job as well as at home.  In both places I have a separate server installed that handles it and, in the case of my home, I have some router rules set up to allow me access to my repository from external places via HTTP.  Subversion is a CVS knock-off (although CVS is very reliable and strong, it is pretty much a dead project and that led to the development of Subversion) and works excellently.  Even has a few decent Visual Studio plugins available such as VisualSVN.

CodePlex, SourceForge, GoogleCode and many others out there are just as dandy, I just personally prefer to host my own repository.

I use SourceGear's Vault product for my personal/business use.  My day job uses VSS.

Subversion!  I was hosting on a server at home, but now we use CodeSpaces.com.

Thanks,

Mike
