while entering text in forums, bad words can be blocked. This is nice feature in forums but can we implement tis feature in other modules where text is entered. I mean like comments, feedback, text or other modules where text is entered. Is it  easy to integrate bad words detection in other modules?? please can you help me if you know how to do it.

Thanks,

Srini

If you have developer knowledge you can download the source and modified the Modules.  The BadWords are saved in a Forum table in the Database.

this feature is part of Forums module and currently not a site feature.

Besides, the bad words list is provided in en-US language only and does not support localization.

Do you think it is easy to integrate the code or change the database design structure to make that work. I m aware that this can be done but i m worried tis may screw all other modules.... What do you think is the best way to make that work ? Please guide me.

Thanks

srini.

I know that tis only works for English but is it  easy to apply to other modules to detect bad words where ever entered.....I mean wherever text is entered ... Do we need to change the database structure or just apply the code used in Forums in other modules....? Please guide me.
