Thanks :)

What was the exact location you put the .dll? It needs to be in a place that the module installer can get to. "root/DesktopModules/Modulename" is where it needs  to go. You may need to pass the location of the .dll to the Silverlight Application using JavaScript.

>> What was the exact location you put the .dll?

So far I have put the dll in:

root/DesktopModules/ModuleName/ClientBin
root/DesktopModules/ModuleName
root/ClientBin
root/bin
root/pagename/tabid/72/ClientBin/

Only the last one works.

I have also tested using the full path to the DLL in the XAML file and that did not work. (I’m not sure why that didn’t work, it may be for security reasons.)

I retried that this morning without success. But that or under there in ClientBin is where I would like to put it. Would the file not being present when the module was originally installed make a difference?

The DLL location is speced in the Canvas tag of the XAML file. Not sure how I would override that with jscript and since I could not get a full path to work in the XAML I’m not sure it would work even if I did.

Try "/DesktopModules/ModuleName/SilverlightTest.dll" . If that doesn't work can you post the module and I will give it a try?

I put it here:

http://www.wordmasters.com/SilverlightTest_01.00.00_Install.zip

It's rather rough concept code.  You re-size a mail piece by dragging the edge around.  It requires the 1.1 alpha version of silverlight.

A working version is installed here:

The proper coding is:

="clr-namespace:SilverlightTest;assembly=DesktopModules/SilverlightTest/SilverlightTest.dll"

="SilverlightTest.Page;assembly=DesktopModules/SilverlightTest/SilverlightTest.dll"

IIS appears to not allow the .dll to be served from that directory. Perhaps because it's a virtual directory? Can you try this in DNN 4.8 on a Windows Vista Machine using normal (not classic) mode? It may behave differently that way.
