I want to set up landing pages that use a url like www.oursite.com/pagename to make it easy to use in print advertising.  Nothing I do seems to work.  Any advice would be welcome.

You can set a custom redirector rule that will most likely work for your needs.

Have a look at the documentation for the URL Rewriting functionality.

You don't need a commercial module to accomplish this, but if you don't mind investing in a commercially-available module (I certainly don't!), take a look at the SEO pack from DNNMasters. It enables you to rewrite the URLs. (Also, I understand that PageBlaster has the ability to do this as well, though I haven't tried it with PageBlaster.)

I think Scott from www.ventrian.com has another available solution.
