Well ive managed to build a skin and get it to look right.  i have now tried to add a skin.xml file to the package and none of the attributes i set seem to be showing through.

i am trying to set the includeheader attribute of the treemenu token to false but this doesnt work.  i even tried to rename the contentpane ID to test but this didnt work either.  Can anyone help?

here is the skin.xml

<objects>

<object>

<token>[TREEVIEW]</token>

<settings>

<setting>

<name>IncludeHeader</name>

<value>False</value>

</setting>

</settings>

</object>

</objects>

Are you using an ASCX file for your skin?

The DNN Skinning Guide uses [TREEVIEWMENU], not [TREEVIEW].  Why not try that?

Best regards,

No, you dont need an xml file if you are using an ascx file.

I tried the [TREEVIEWMENU] that the guide suggests but in version 3.02 its not recognised and the text "[TREEVIEWMENU]" is simply displayed where the menu should be.  [TREEVIEW] is.

When the skin is uploaded it says that it cannot find any attributes for the TREEMENU in the attribute specification.  It says this for all other controls too (however this is true in their case) i am only trying to specify attributed for the menu.

I managed to get the result i wanted by editing the compiled ascx file in the /portals/skins folder.  i dont want to have to do that every time.
