I also am receiving this error after upgrading to 4.8.0. I usually receive this error after moving new assembly files to the site. it appears on the default home page and if I re-navigate not refresh the page it goes away. I am using the Telerik menu skin object on out site and some other custom modules developed with the Telerik suite Ajax enabled controls.

I am going to start looking for another open-source solution if this keeps up, the upgrades seem to be getting worse. Sorry don't mean to complain it is for free.

We were having the same problem with our website until I figured out that some resource files had duplicate entries in them. I went to the Admin->languages and ran the resource file verifier. It gave me the resource files with the problems, then I went in and deleted the duplicate entries. Haven't had the error since. Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue with this error message.  It occurs randomly - on different pages - on all my 4.8.0 sites.  It doesn't seem to matter which modules are on the page - occasionally I receive this error on a page with just the Text/HTML module...

I got this same error immediately after upgrading to Visual Studio 2008 Pro.   I had completed the install of 4.8 a few days earlier on my local machine.  It was a new machine so the 4.8 was a new install and worked smoothly until I upgraded visual studio.  I am considering unstalling the 4.8 install and starting over at this point.   If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
