Hi guys,

I an developping a portal for a client.

How can I remove the lanquage flags and insert the name of the lanquages(spanish and greek)?

I want the old behavour prior 4.6.2 with the list box

The way the language selector is displayed depends on the settings of the LANGUAGE skin object in your skin file. Set it's showMenu attribute to "True" and the showLinks to "False". Or simply delete both attributes - the default behaviour is to display the old select box.

Thanks Michael,

I tried it and it worked.This raised another question:

How can I remove the brackets (United States)?

I want it to display English with no brackets.

Is this possible ?

No idea, sorry! First I thought the displayed language names were stored in /App_GlobalResources/Locales.xml, but changing them there had no effect on the content of the LANGUAGE drop down list. Then I searched the DNN files and the database for the language name strings, but couldn't find them anywhere. So it seems that these names are hard coded in the core.
