I would assume Jeff tried uploading through the file manager not the skin uploader.

Nope, through the skin uploader.  Same message except that ASCX wasn't an allowed file type.  Let's see if I can duplicate it....

Well, guess I lied.  It works fine without ASCX in the list.  This is v.4.7.0 default install.  Hang on, let me check the site I had trouble with...

Crap.  Swiss cheese memory.  Had to upload an ASPX for a hard coded link in the skin, it's the ASPX extension that's not allowed.  Nor should it normally be, just my specific skin.

Thanks,

Jeff

I had a similar problem with an unsupported psd file that looked like an alternate use of buttons. After I deleted it from the zip file, the problem went away, so I'm thinking deleted the db file would fix it.

Both the *.db and the *.psd file (photoshop) should not be in the skin package and yes, removing them will solve the problem.

Only the photoshop file has some relevance, but should not be in the skin pack zip file itself.

No harm in adding .db to the list of extensions in host/ host settings/ Other settings/ File Upload Extentions

It does not do any harm. Just gets ignored.
