I have discovered that some literals like the PREV and NEXT links reside in the repository.ascx.resx file and not in the form.ascx.resx file which can be used in custom templates overriding the default settings.

Let me explain: I read that you can create a RepositoryTemplates folder inside your Portals/0 (or whatever number) folder and use your own xml/html files for templates, overriding the default templates for the Repository Module. This includes the folder App_LocalResources AND the form.ascx.resx file for each template, so you can localize it to your own language without having to access the /DesktopModules folder.

The same is, unfortunately, not true for repository.ascx.resx. Is there a way to utilise the /Portals/x/RepositoryTemplates folder to override the localizations done there?

Can you better explain ? I have been able to localise Repository by going into HOST > LANGUAGE > LANGUAGE EDITOR (Host) and then modifying everything. You can check on my website, the page LINKS is fully localised.

As I mentioned in the original message, there is a way to "skin" part of the repository template, i.e. put a specifically-named folder inside the "portals" folder just as you usually do with skins. This only concerns, though, the "form" part of the template.

As a result, you can just upload a bunch of files into your /Portals/X/RepositoryTemplates folder and override one of the predefined repository templates, as well as the resource file (.resx) that comes with it - but only for its form part. I know you can do the same thing through the editor (or by directly modifying the /desktopmodules/repository/app_localresources/repository.ascx.resx file), but I was just wondering if this could be overriden the same way as the other files that are put inside the RepositoryTemplates folder.

It's not a question as to whether this can be done, I know it can. I'm just wondering if it can be done in a specific way.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm having the same problem!

Still haven't found any solution on that.
