I have been fighting with this for over 2 hours now and it is driving me nuts. So I am going to see if someone here can give me a hint or two of what I am missing. I think I am just too rusty with CSS and DNN skinning.

I want to use a bullet graphic in my Text/HTML modules. I put the following code into the skins css file and it did not work. I have tried several iterations of the url value and even changed the LI to UL. I have gotten no whare with it. Can anyone give me a hint or 2x4?

 LI    {
 list-style-image: url('images/bullet.gif');
 color: #000;
 font: normal normal 12px/16px Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
}

Thanks,

Kent

I ususally use "./images/filename.gif" with or without the period..not sure..I'd give that a try though.

UL LI {list-style-image:url(images/bulletA.gif)}
UL LI LI {list-style-image:url(images/bulletB.gif)}
UL LI LI LI and so on

Works only in IE, not FF

You code should work...in FF and IE.

For this example I used the CSS inline:

  • One
  • Two
  • Three

I just added this:

UL LI{
list-style-image:url(http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DesktopModules/Forum/Themes/DNN/Images/s_new.gif);
}

to portal.css of a fresh DNN 4.7.0 installation and it works in IE and FF (after clearing the cache of the browser).

The problem is most likely the path to the image, this should be relative to the CSS file.

If this doesn't help, please post alink so we can have a look at it.

Ah yes, excellent.. I hadn't noticed that FF now also supports it.
