We've been working on the following page for countless hours now, and cannot get the formatting right.

It seems that DNN has a life of its own.  Sometimes in the Rich Text Editor, fonts, alignment and spacing will look fine.

But upon viewing it in a browser find that the formatting is all wrong.

Running version 4.08.00.

See this page for the issues: http://www.boxbaseball.com/FAQs/tabid/55/Default.aspx

It seems as if DNN indiscriminately adds </br> tags everywhere...

Please help as it's driving us mad...

Have you looked at it in source mode and removed the extra <br> tags?  Sre you copying/pasting things in, which m,ay include <br> tags since they're not visible?

-no, we were not cutting and pasting anything

-even after going into the source code and trying to remove all the extra </br> tags, the final result was still a mess....

Enter the editor to edit your content, then switch to SOURCE by using the corresponding toolbar button in the editor and verify if your problem is the BR or the P tag.

The normal behavior of the editor is to enclose each paragraph inside P tags (which is the correct way). If this is your case, the you can use CSS styles to specify a lower space before and after the paragraph.
