Hi

I want to migrate our company newsgroups from our nntp-server to DNN using this forum module. We have a running DNN 4.5.5 site on which I have installed Forum module 4.4.3.

Our current solution are a number of news groups running on a in-house news server which is connected to a mailing-list so ppl can participate on the discussions even though they don't know how to use nntp (Our user base have very low IT-knowledge).

The most optimal would be to assign the different posts from the news groups to specific users on our site based on their email-address, but I know that this could be very tricky to do, so alternatively I would be satisfied just to load all the posts into one dedicated account.

Many of the posts on the news groups have attachements, which are also nessesary to migrate.

Also I would like to know if it is possible to keep the forum connected to the mailing list, so that users who do not want to use the forum can still participate using emails.

Please tell me that what I want is possible :)

Regards,
Jan

Sorry, there is nothing in the module that connects it w/ NNTP support.
