Hi, I have just had the following site delivered by the developer http://site433.mysite4now.net/platetronic/.

I find it very slow - what is your opinion?

Any ideas on how to make it faster? Right now it is hosted on webhosting4live.com. The devleoper suggests a dedicated server or trying another hosting....

Thank you very much for your opinion!

Well I have noticed a few things.

The first page load did look a little slow, you might want to look into a keepalive solution to prevent worker process recycling.

Also, ensure that you have caching enabled in your site as that will be important on a site like yours.

Lastly, yes, a switch to a different host might help, there is plenty of feedback here about WH4L so I'm not going to start anything, but I use 3Essentials and have no complaints.  How much traffic are you looking at having?  That might influence where you go.
