I just got off the phone with a CMS vendor, and I've been in the process of impelementing DotNetNuke for quite a while and it got me curious.

I know that I can restrict certain users or groups rights to modules on a page. However if they update or change the content is there a way to require the change to go through an approval process?

For example:
User: Changes the Text/HTML Modules Text on the Main page, with an update on the weather
Admin: Recieves alert of pending change needing approval.
Admin: approves changes and Users changes reflected on the main page of the website

Thanks for any input you can provide,
Ddraig

Not at this time .. content approval / versioning (workflow) is on the roadmap for version 5.0

At this time you would need to use a module that supports that type of approval.

For blog style entries you can use Ventrian News Articles.

Engage also has modules that support approval workflows.
