Hello,

I have done everything on installing and come to this problem.

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

Neither in this forum nor in other forums I couldn't find a real solution.

I installed DNN 4.x . I use Win2003 and SQL 2000. My connection string in webconfig file is exactly true and even I tried with "sa" account id still didn't work.

What should I do to fix this problem. I have been trying to install DotnetNuke for 2.5 days and still could'nt open my page for these kind of problems. I need your help.

Best Regards

I suggest you do it all over again. Follow instructions from the Installation Guide inside the documentation zip from downloads.

I get exactly the same error, can anybody help me. Today I tried over 3 times clean instalation and every time this was the error. Thanks to everyone, here is the connection string:

"server=192.168.0.101;database=DotNetNuke;UID=sa;PWD=sa;"

I try with the server name and with other user and still not working.

The error is :

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

10x if there is a solution of the problem, I use Sql Server 2000, Windows XP and DNN 4.02

If you are doing a reinstall, be sure to clear all the tables and stored procedures out of the database.

I got the exact same error, and the reason was my DB name. My DB was named as my website an I had added ".se" to the DB. Once I created a new DB without the ".se" ending everything worked fine.
