Hi!

We are working on a site that will have individual "profile" pages for about 100 people. Each page would need permissions on it that only allowed the admin and the person who was displayed on the page to edit. it We also need to create a page that would list all of the names (each link linking to the profile) page, and create a way to sort that list by a few different options.

With all of that being said, I know that I can create 100 seperate pages, with 100 different roles, etc. I know how to do it the long way, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a module that did this type of work or can assist me in the process. I can't imagine that I'm the first person who's had to create a plethora of people pages and needed to assign persmissions and offer a sort function. Surely there's some sort of input module, right? ;) Well, a girl can dream ;)

Any help anyone could offer would be great. Even if there was a module that could help with the sorting without me having to hard-code js or ajax into the text/html module, that would work too.

Thanks! ~Carole

Try using the User Defined Table.

You can set it up where a user can only manipulate a row they created.

You can use the XSL to customize the display options.

This sounds like a job for Smart Thinker's User Profiles. The idea is to extend the built in DNN profile pages with more functionality. This effectively deals with all the permissions and is also logical. They also have a User Groups module that might be of interest.

You might also want to look at dnnFusion's "MyProfile" module.

Hi,

Module from http://components.init.si/ can do this. If you do not know see module's forums or send request for help.

Kind regards,

Primoz.
