New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.
In order to participate you must be a registered DNNizen

If I login to my site as admin, go to the Users admin page, select User Settings.

I set options such as Use CAPTCHA for registration, display All default display, etc. I press Update, and the settings hold.

However, if a user logs in and modifies their Forum "My settings" (uploads an avatar, changes profile, etc.) then the site reverts to the Default user settings, e.g. unchecks USE CAPTCHA, etc.

I have to log back in as Admin and reset the settings each time a user modifies their Forum profile.

Am I missing something? (Using latest DNN on asp.net 2.0, forum module 4.4.3)

The forum module never does anything to update a site settings or the DNN user's profile. It stores its own 'profile' type data in its own tables and therefore an update of "My Settings" in the forum should not affect site settings or the DNN user's profile. I will keep an eye out to see if anything else comes about like this though.
