Hi,

I'm a beginner at skinning DNN sites. Is it possible to change the default code in the <head></head> generated by default.aspx without affecting the core file? My problem is that I don't have host privileges but I'd like to tweek that section of code in order to add for instance the jQuery library and some IE conditional code.

I've searched around with google and some other sites for an anwser to this, but so far no luck...

Any Ideas ?

Thank you for your help !

Pierre

Sorry, there isn't a way to edit the head from within a skin.  Typically skin designers will just add script and style includes at the top of their skin (inside the body).

Hope it helps,

Adding links to script sections

<

script type="text/javascript" src="< % = SkinPath % > /jqueryJS/jquery-1.2.1.min.js" >< / script>

only works in .ascx skin files.

You can also use < ! - -[if IE 6] >... sections

Darren Neese has a module that injects anything you want into the head section. You have to register to see the site content: http://www.dotnetnukerocks.com but it might do what you want.
