What you are trying to do is not possible without changing the source code. And it is a bad idea since you won't be able to change version later.

Guid is a datatype like varchar and cannot hold text in it.

I would suggest that you developp your link module and add the functionality you desire.

Indeed, the field is called Guid but is not a Guid.

I suppose you should take a look at the link module source code (admin/skins/skins.vb), but this is really NOT recommended. If you change the source, you will be exposed to errors and you will need to move your changes every time you change version.

If you can do it, maybe you could copy the idea and recreate a new module based on this one adding the functionality you want.
