As I progress on my DNN education I think I've found a need for a tool, or maybe it's included and I don't know how to use it.

I"m using Visual Web Developer 2008 express mostly, but I also have VS2005 standard.   I prever VWD.  Anyhow the question is pretty simple.  Is there a built in way to track revisions, bugs, or dev tasks to yet perform on a project?

If not included is there a good open source app I can throw into my DNN to accomplish this?  I'm not comfortable enough to start any major projects that require a full blown solution for teams yet, nor am I near skilled enough.  I would like to get to that level eventually but figure I may as well use up my own bandwidth for now :->

Any tips would be great!

Josh

Josh,

I manage my development lifecycle in a two phase approach as I work with many contract customers.

For code revisions I use Source Gear's Vault product, it fully integrates into VS and works great.  it is free for one user.

For development tasks, project milestones and project communication I use BaseCamp. There is a small fee associated with it, however, it is a great tool and you can easily attach files, track milestones, and communicate for a project.
