Okay, I am a complete DNN novice. I have been doing all I can to try grasping everything here. I am a web designer.. I have recently begun my venture into dynamic sites as I feel it is a skill that NEEDS to be aquired to make it with web development any more. I have got an account at creative DNN to start my skinning learning, and recently ordered some books.
I have a rather immidiate task that needs to be done and that is to get a basic site up with a nice looking menu. I am decent with CSS but my dreamweaver crutch has been quite the burdon on trying to figure out the solpart customization in VWD. SO this long drawn on post IS going somewhere I promise.
I was hoping you guys could possibly tell me some great menu module that have quite a few templates to choose from with easy editing being key.
I have looked at thednn.com's css menu. It was the best I had found so far as far as easyness goes. But the Per Domain licence is a KILLER. I also looked at the Navigation Suite: http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=9459
Which I have to say LOOKS impressive and extensive. However the website of theirs is quite possibly the WORST thing I have ever seen. I see flash menus, CISS side panels, etc all of which I am not sure is included in the Suite or not??? and also it seems like it is farily complex to setup a menu on the fly like I am wanting. And I didnt think I could find out whether or not you could apply the style to the main DNN menu that is installed (which I must pointy out, is vital to my site)
Found a couple other that didnt even compare to these two, but I have to say I expected to see a lot more menu modules. I did see teleriks which lost me even more on how to make it work.
So I was hoping you all may be able to point me in the right direction on my need
