We recently moved our DNN portal to a new server. It has always been hosted locally as we are still working on it. Recently, I used the login link to login to the Portal and make a change but after that the login link does not seem to be working. It gives me a redirect error.

In IE it gives me a DNS error page whereas in Firefox it says "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

I tried bringing up the Login page adding the "?ctl=login" at the end of the link, but that too did not work. Btw, every other link in the Portal works fine.

Can somebody help me here?

I would suggest checking the Portal Alias table in your database.  Make sure the aliases are what they should be.  Then, make sure that your DNS is pointing to the correct IP number.  Finally, clear out the value for the login tab id in the Portal settings table.  When you modify that information in the database, you should remember to recycle your application pool, or restart IIS to clear out the DNN cache.

Can you tell me where the Portal Alias Table is in the database or what table it is in?

"portalalias"

Unless you have an object qualifier on your database, then it might be "dnn_portalalias"
