Hi Chris, handy module that F3!

Some of the fancier media modules do Flickr .. Ultra Flash Player and Ultra Media Gallery. I've also just noticed a Silverlight one that does it too: http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=9308
I expect you might be looking for something much simpler though.

IMHO, some of the fancier modules do "flashy things" but I like function. I've used a few of them on various projects, and they work well, but I hope to come up with something that is SEO friendly, we'll see how that works out :)

I'm hoping, but haven't ever worked with the Flickr API, to be able to create something useful that can pull back sets and recent photos. I have a TON of Photos on my flickr page (13k plus now). Perhaps I can create a whole searchable module that will pull back the flickr content. We'll see what I can find with the API. Definitely want to keep the features limited for V1, but if it works well I'll look at future functionality.

Well the module is coming along! Now I need to decide if I stay up and keep working on it, or try to sleep tonight? :)

I ended up going with the Flickr.Net library available from Codeplex, boy am I glad I didn't have to write all that code!

If I can get a few more things added tonight I'll turn on the module on my photos page.

Quick update as I head to bed. Initial views for the module are uploaded to my photos page

It still needs work, for now it is a start

I've made some more changes to the module this evening, adding in a slider/paging control, as well as configured some of the hard coded values to be module settings. It looks like we'll have a release later this week for the module pending more testing, and probably more enhancements.
