Hi all,

I have .Net web applications, windows applications and windows services that need to be upgraded at multiple sites, about 60.  The stores do not use active directory and have internet access.  I'm presently on the .net framework 2, using MS visual studio 2005.

Instead of me going round and upgrading each bit of software on each pc, I was wandering if .Net had a better way of doing this?

Applications such as firefox and acrobat reader, always check at startup if a new version of the software is available, if the user accepts the software is upgraded seamlessly in the background.  Is such functionality available in .Net?

Thanks in advance

This isn't really DNN related, but I'll answer anyways.

There is "No Touch Deployment" where you can host the app on a website and it gets downloaded based on a manifest file.

Or there is an application block by microsoft, but you'll have to code it in and still do a manual upgrade the first time.  After that you can automate your upgrades.

I don't know if this made it into the Enterprise 3.0 library.
