Hi guys,

from what I understand you cannot develop a multilanguage site in DNN.

(when I change the language in the menu the content will also change)

Is there a quick way to develop a decent solution without buying an externel module?

thanks

you can either create multiple portal and a single landing page or combine free 3rd party modules, e.g. from www.effority.net, dnn.tiendaboliviana.com, www.apollos-software.nl and www.portalfabrik.net

Hi Sebastian,

Is there some documentation?Should I post further questions in the localization forum?

in multiple portals, one per language, the user will register and login after he has been forwarded from the landing page into the language (or country) specific portal only.

in multilingual portals, the user selects his preferred language in his profile and the display language gets switched accordingly, when he logs in, the language for unauthenticated can be derived from his browser settings.

Thanks Sebastian,

how can I configure this?

Is it sufficient enough to create a second portal and make the second language the default?
