Hello,

I am new to DNN  .

I have webhosting thru Dotnetpark , there is an installer to install DNN on the portal and I have installed it.

    The missing link(s) are

1 ) I have my portal login for dotnetpark where I can upload files etc,

2) I have installed DNN for my website

3) Now how do I start using DNN modules.

do I need to create new administrator / host accounts to use DNN modules. If so how to create, is there a special url to create these accounts

If it is a simple html, I would edit a file and upload to the website (this is working), but using DNN, I do not have a clue

Any pointers in this regards is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

NewBee,

I have just become aware of some training materials that are available from MIcrosoft.  Take a look at the Free DotNetNuke Curriculum post from yesterday in the Chat About It! forum. These might provide a good starting point for you with DotNetNuke.

Also, you do not need to create any new accounts to install or use modules. There is an existing list of modules at the top of the site (you may need to expand the white bar) when you are logged in as admin or host.  You can install new modules by uploading their zip files (also known as a module package) on the host -> module definitions page.

I hope that helps you get off to a good start!

Take care,

Ian
