When and which version of DotNetNuke was the last shipping of DotNetNuke with Ftb3 as the default Richtext Editor?

Here is what is happening exactly in all our IE browsers:

When using the editing function of Html/Text and FCJEditor, Explorer hangs:

http://www.itansvar.se/portals/0/fckeditorerror02.gif

But when trying to enforce loading the editing page this happens:

http://www.itansvar.se/portals/0/fckeditorerror03.gif

A client javascript error saying FCKconfig is not defined. This indicates that one of 3 different javascript loading files are not loaded properly ...inside the \Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\editor\fckeditor.html file 3 different javascript should run in exact order:

# 1. js/fckeditorcode_ie.js

# 2. ../fckconfig.js

# 3. then the javascripts inside the fckeditor.html file itself ..... exactly in this file the error occurs ...indicating that the previous files with the definition of FCKconfig exists doesn't load properly?!?

But why cannot Internet Explorer load the files ckeditorcode_ie.js and fckconfig.js Properly? This puzzels me .... because when using the source files of FCKEditor from www.fckeditor.net then all our Internet Explorer can view all the FCKEditor sample file ... and very fast to .... but not in the DotNetNuke shipping???   Does Mauricio Marquez have any clues ?

The only way around this was to retrieve the old Freetextbox again .... I found it in the DotNetnuke 4.4.1 source code package ...... I needed to modify it but it took only an hour to get it working good with Explorer ..... so what do we do .... the problem with the FCK Editor persists ... javascript is working in the browser and I must use Firefox to access these forums .... is it the way we are going to let it be .... I think the community would benefit if the components and modules would work better with Internet Explorer ..... i just bought a module from Invenmanager called Facility booking .... BUT inside that one there is a calendar from ComponentArts with massive amount of Javascript .... again all our Internet Explorer freezes up .... this module is intended to be used in an corporate extranet and demands is that the functionality with Explorer is a must and has to be fast ...... we will not be able to use the otherwise neat and nice module from Invenmanager becasue it doesn't load at all in many many internet Explorer on many (all of them so far)  of our customers workstations

.... Isn't it a great idea to calssify which modules and components that work flawlessly in both firefox and Internet Explorer .... we just bought this nice module "Facility Booking".... but cannot use it ... our customer has already thrown it out and told us to get another one or loose the contract ...loading and usability with Explorer is very important to this customer ..... I think a significant number of more customers say the same .... what do you guys think ?

Is there a way to optimize on the serverside to make the Internet Explorer on the client side downloading the javascripts better ?

Johan, what version of IE do you and your customer use.

Never had any problem like you, maybee you have to find the error in your installation.
