Hi,

I'm new to DNN but I've been wondering if I can make skin for main website without Login links so noone will login or register but on the other hand make seperate page like admin page or portal for each I would add login link so only Admin will be the only one to login.

PS. I cannot make new post from Opera.

1) You can set User Registration to None, which will disable the ability for new users to register on the site

2) "Hide" the login link by blending it with the background color, then only you know where it's at and if someone does find it, they can't do anything to register anyway.

You can simply remove the Login tokens (and possibly others) from the Skin so there will be no login page.

You can bring up the login form on ANY DNN site by browsing to a page within the site and adding "?ctl=login" at the end of the address of the page.

However, I tend to simply change the colors of the login text so that it blends with the background (so that there's still a clickable link for site admins).

This is exactly what I need to do!  I had already set User Registration to none, but I have been trying to hide the login link by making the text the same color as the background, and I can't figure out how.

I purchased my skin, so I've been getting my website put together by using the DNN controls when I login as admin.  I have checked out the DNN skinning documentation and looked at my skin.css file, my standard.aspx file and my default.aspx page, but I can't find the spot where I can change the color of the login link to hide it.  My website is at http://www.hdintel.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx

I would really appreciate some advice.

Since there is a gradient under the login link you will not be able to hide it by setting it's color completely.

If you add this to skin.css:

a.LOGIN_object:link,
a.LOGIN_object:visited,
a.LOGIN_object:active{
color:#DADADA;
}

It's kind of hidden...

To hide it completely, you either have to create a separate login page , or move the login link to another location where there is no gradient in the background.
