We are having an issue with user created folders.  All of our users have access to the dnnweb server to add folders and files.  The problem is that when they create a folder on the server it does show up in the file manager in dnn.  They can't link to any files they saved in the created folders.  If I create the folder through file manager, we have no problem.  We would like for our users to have the ability to create folders as they need without having admin rights to file manager.  Does any know a work around for this?

Thank you.

Okay, I fat fingered this one.  I meant to say that when a user creates a folder on the dnnweb server that it doesn't show up in the file manager in dnn.

Thank you

What I am doing right now if created a routinge that grabs the directory information and compares it to what is in the folders table.  If it doesn't find a match it adds it to the folders table and then looks up the permissions of the parent folder.  If there is not parent folder (root level) it will assign the permissions of the content file.  This is only working at the first level.  I am working on the recursive now, so that it will look however many levels of folders there are.

What I am doing right now is writing a routine that captures the list of folders on the server and compares it to what is in the folders table.  If there is no match it then adds it to the folder table.  It then checks for a parent folder and writes those permissions to the folder permissions table.  If there is no parent folder (root level) if assigns the content file folder permissions.  As of right now this only does first level folders.  I am working on the recursive part so that it will find all folders no matter how many levels.
