Keith - are you sure you are using version 4.4.3 of the feedback module? I have just tried the scenario you've mentioned (creating subject lists, selecting a specific subject and then hiding the subject field) and am not getting any errors.

Could you please provide a little more information on your setup (maybe some subject examples, etc) and lets try and figure out what's going on in your scenario. I do know that there was a similar issue in 4.4.2 but this was fixed for 4.4.3 which is why I'm surprised you're getting this error...

Hi Sanjay,

I got the same error with the guestbook I have on my website.
Changing the values you suggested did resolve the problem.
The only minor thing is that I receive messages without a subject now.

Here some information you asked.

I have 2 instances at my site www.watermansite.com/shop
- A feedback form at the shopping cart page.
- A feedback form at the guestbook page.

I made 2 categories
- Webwinkel (webstore)
- Gastenboek (guestbook)

I made 4 subjects
- Bestelling (order)
- Informatie (information)
- Gastenboek (guestbook)
- Klacht (complain)

I hop you can use this information.
Let me know if you want some more information.

With regards, Ton Hermes

Bump - can you see my comments and let me know if this is possible. (having specific subjects, but not allow end users to see or change them)

not sure what's going on but your post (Tom) is horribly cut off on this page. I'm not sure what other information you've provided but all I'm seeing is a repeat of the header from dotnetnuke.com... Wanted to confirm that you are using 4.4.3 or an earlier version?

Sanjay

PS - I am also not getting any feedback notifications anymore from Dotnetnuke.com. Need to verify with core what's going on but just saw this post by accident when I went to the site even though I'm setup to receive notifications for all posts on this forum.

 Hi Sanjay,

I got the same error with the guestbook I have on my website, www.watermansite.com/shop
Changing the values you suggested did resolve the problem.
The only minor thing is that I receive messages without a subject now.
I'am using version 4.4.3.

Categories are: (translation to english)
WebWinkel (shop)
Gastenboek(Guestbook)

Subjects are:
Bestelling (order)
Informatie (information)
Gastenboek (Guestbook)
Klacht (complaint)

I have on 2 pages the feedback module installed.
- at the shoppingcart page
- at the guestbook page

at the shoppingcart page the user can choose from different subjects.
at the guestbook page the user has no choice. I want only guestbook entries through this feedback.

If I use the options
- subject = guestbook
- hide subject = thru
The user get an error.

If I use the options
- subject = none
- hide subject = thru
Everything goes ok, except the feedback has no subject when it is send.

Hope you can use this.
Do not hesitate to ask for more clarification.

With regards, Ton Hermes
