Hi DNN gurus,

I have this task. I want to create a link dynamically.

I do not want to use IFRAME. The link will be something like this :

../e-shop/cart.aspx?userid =23.

As you quessed already I want to grab the userID.

How can I create this link?

thanks

Are you doing this in a module as a developer, or just as a content producer for a site?

You should be able to use the token feature in the Text/HTML module to get the current UserID.  In the settings of your Text/HTML module, check the Replace Tokens option, and then setup a link with a url like ".../e-shop/cart.aspx?userid=[User:UserID]."

Hope it helps,

thanks Brian,

I am glad that my questions are also helping other users.

This was a quick solution to my problem.

If I had to develop my own module to do this would it be worth the effort?

thanks again

If using the Text/HTML Module doesn't fit your needs, it shouldn't be much work at all to design your own to do exactly what you need in this sort of scenario, so I would have to say that it could certainly be worth the effort.

Hope it helps,
